xHP - How to use the App

Learn how to set up your account, connect your car, redeem licenses, and flash or restore your transmission using the xHP App on Android, iOS, macOS, or Windows.

👤 Account Setup
xHP uses a user account to store your cars, licenses, and settings across all devices.
To create or log in to your account, open the app's sidebar menu.
You can either:
Create an xHP account manually, or
Sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple
If you purchased xHP from the Google Play Store before April 2020, please contact us at support@xautomotive.com to restore your licenses.
🧑💻 xHP Pro Users:
Select “xHP Pro Login” on the login page to access professional features.
🧭 App Navigation
After logging in, the Overview page shows all vehicles linked to your account.
Use the menu at the bottom to access:
News – Latest updates and announcements
Check Support - includes a VIN scanner, for example
Help – Links to the Tour, FAQ, Manuals
More - Diagnostics, “Send Logs”, Settings, and About
To start a flash, tap CONNECT NEW CAR or select a car from the list.
🎚Settings
Disable Pre-Flash Safety Checks – Do this at your own risk
Force PST Flash - This will reset after every use; don’t use it if you don’t know what it means.
Skip Warning Message – Disables all warning messages before the flash.
Language - Lets you set a supported language
Units- Lets you switch between metric and imperial units.
💳 Buying and Redeeming Licenses
Purchase your xHP FlashCombo from xautomotive.com.
You’ll receive a voucher code by email.
Connect to your car in the app.
On the Cars page, open your vehicle and tap Redeem next to “xHP FlashCombo.”
Enter your code.
Codes are linked to your email account and car VIN once redeemed.
They can’t be reused or transferred.
⚡ Flashing Maps
Connect or select your car.
Tap FLASH THIS CAR.
Choose an OTS Map or Custom Map.
xHP will check your connection, download any needed files (make sure you are not connected to the WiFi adapter when a download starts), and guide you through the process.
You can safely retry if a flash fails.
Any dashboard error messages during flashing are normal and disappear when it’s complete.
On the “Cars” page, you can find a history of the last files flashed. (3-white-dots, top-right)

Using the compatible hardware to perform a flash operation is essential.

🧩 Custom Maps & Settings
Custom maps from xHP or third-party tuners can be flashed the same way.
If you see a compatibility warning with 3rd-party maps, enable Custom Map PST-Change under More → Settings.

Use the Flash setting to adjust the transmission’s behaviour.
Avoid enabling features you don’t fully understand — each setting changes how your gearbox behaves.

Please do not simply enable all the custom features, but make sure you understand what each setting does.
🔄 Stage 0 & Uninstall
From the map screen, select Stage 0 to flash the OEM calibration or “Uninstall” to remove xHP from the car completely :
Stage 0 – Restores your stock map, xHP stays installed.
Stage 0 + Settings – Stock map plus your saved settings.
Uninstall – Full removal, returning the TCU to factory software, relocking it.
