The history of xHP Flashtool
Before xHP Flashtool, BMW and MINI’s automatic transmissions were a “black box.”
While gearboxes in other cars could be tuned, BMW and MINI used heavy encryption that kept enthusiasts locked out.

We’ve designed the process to be as simple, secure, and reliable as possible.
Flashing a control unit always requires care — this guide lists everything you need to prepare, including the correct hardware, setup, and safety checks.
Follow it carefully, and you’ll enjoy a seamless tuning experience.
The xHP flash process is 100% safe for your TCU.
It cannot be damaged or “bricked” by flashing.
Before you start
Make sure your gearbox is in good mechanical condition.
xHP cannot fix worn or faulty components.
If you notice jerky shifts, slipping, or strange behaviour, have your transmission serviced before flashing.Do not flash gearboxes outside the car.
xHP only supports in-vehicle flashing on BMW and MINI models with compatible transmissions.
